Our Team

We bring different perspectives to the table, but we’re united by a love for bringing communities together and empowering those underrepresented in the outdoors.

Matt Moy is a climber, guide, and a collector of community. They’ve been climbing since 2008, organizing queer and affinity-based climbing spaces for years, and are usually found chasing good movement, good people, and questionable (and safe) climbing objectives.

Outside of climbing, they love running, biking, yoga, acroyoga, friends, and hugs.

Laura doesn’t just love the outdoors—she believes in its power to change lives. She’s on a mission to make sure everyone—especially those who’ve faced barriers—feels welcome outside and gets to experience that transformation firsthand.

Driven by a passion for connecting people to wild places (and to each other), Laura has spent nearly 30 years leading adventures across six countries.

Laura is a certified Wilderness First Responder, SCUBA diver, and an experienced paddlesports leader and coach across multiple disciplines—including stand-up paddleboarding, sea kayaking, canoeing, and whitewater kayaking. She’s also an American Red Cross Instructor and a certified Climbing Wall Instructor.

When not at work, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, and neighbors.

Chuck fell in love with climbing about 25 years ago, getting introduced to places like Seneca Rocks, WV and Looking Glass Rock, NC. He now works with the Chicago Park District, helping to run and maintain the Steelworkers Park Climbing Wall (Chicago’s outdoor crag). The Steelworkers Park Climbing Wall is a publicly accessible outdoor wall, in the Southeast Side of Chicago, that offers no and low cost climbing programs for the community. Chuck is an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor and a Wilderness First Responder.
